FLAWA Festival is proud to present a solo exhibition of the Colombian artist Lilophilia (Liliana Romero), curated by Daniela Galan. Featuring a collection of works developed after 2020, this series explores a process of self-discovery, resilience, introspection, and social criticism after the immense struggles endured by all over the last two years.
Lilo is a painter and a printmaker whose use of colour, typography, and poster aesthetic challenges the social normality embedded in our society.

Lilophilia is the moniker of Liliana A. Romero, an Afro-Colombian Artist based in London. She references African traditions to build her powerful and confronting aesthetic, underpinned by a celebration of black womanhood.
She studied Independent Illustration at SVA New York. She has recently graduated from MA print Camberwell and was awarded the East London Printmakers prize as the Artist of the Year in Sydenham Art Trail 2020. She exhibited at ‘London Grads now’ at Saatchi Gallery 2020. And her Latest show in Anna Lovely Gallery with her series “Héroes de mi pueblo” August 2021 .
