A dance film evoking this moment in time – a global lockdown – with the rhythms and movement of Bullerengue, a traditional dance and song form from Colombia. Bullerenge was born in the African diasporic communities of the Caribbean coast and in this tradition, only women perform the dance. They are normally dressed entirely in white, which is a symbol of female fertility. The dance is defined by the drums, and dancers usually clap to complement the beats and the rhythm.
